Search results are duplicative and involve extra clicks.

Steps to reproduce:

• Search a well-formed CVE ID, like CVE-2023-0666
• Notice two results.
• Sigh loudly when you have to click on one result to read the CVE. What do I look like, a robot that can click two things?
• Wonder which is the right one.
• Curse the heavens because they're both right.

Expected result for a search of /\s*CVE-[\d]{4}-[\d]{4,19}\s*/ : Just give me the CVE.

Wonderful result: Give me search results IN THAT CVE LISTING of all other hits that ALSO mention that CVE.

New feature: In fact, this should be default behavior for every CVE view.

Update: One of my wishes is already implemented! Sort of:

This does, in fact, show me CVE records that also mention CVE-2024-51977. But it also shows me a CVE that merely references ExploitDB that happens to have "51977" in the reference string -- namely, https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/51977 .

So, maybe a new bug, but really, the search bar should treat specific CVE numbers as very special terms. Don't try to break it up on hyphens (or en-dashes, or em-dashes) and give me bad guesses on other CVEs.

For what it's worth, I do my own searches on my browser side with a search bar keyword of cvex:

So far, this is the superior way to copy-paste CVE records. No clicks, no muss, no fuss.
