Question

Is hierarchical class taxonomy supported? Let's say drink -> canned -> coke kind of multi-level taxonomy.

Hi @ogencoglu, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Currently X-AnyLabeling doesn't support hierarchical class taxonomy like drink -> canned -> coke.

Right now the classifier uses a flat list of labels—each label is independent, with no parent-child relationships. If you need drink, canned, and coke as a hierarchy, they would be treated as three separate labels.

If you want to encode hierarchy in the label name, you could use naming conventions like drink_canned_coke or drink::canned::coke. The UI won't show it as a tree, but the name can reflect the relationship.

To fully support hierarchical classification, we'd need changes to the data structure, UI components, and storage format. If this is important for your use case, we can consider it as a feature request.
