uconv in single-point-stats.py #13

In single-point-stats.py, uconv seems to be used for adjusting the wall velocity, as shown in the following code:

utau_s = ((u1[0] + uconv) / zc[0] * visc)**0.5

I would like to ask how the value of uconv is determined. Is it related to the inlet velocity, free-stream velocity, or some correction term? Are there any recommended approaches or theoretical references for setting this value, particularly in turbulent channel or boundary layer flows?
