Hey @ptr1337 , I hope you're doing well :)
I don't know where to write this issue as it isn't reproducible as it happens randomly and just a few times
In the past my keyboard wasn't working anymore a few times on my GNOME login screen.
I was able to use my touch screen and screen keyboard... but today even this quick-fix wasn't working as well.
I was stuck on a non-gnome CachyOS Login screen.
Hitting CTRL + ALT + F4 I was able to enter the TTY (OS "shell" - is it the right term for that?) and the keyboard input worked.
I ran the cachyos-debugreport.sh but I don't know where the reports are saved (please tell me if it's saved somewhere).
A LLM suggested to restart the gdm with sudo systemctl restart gdm.
I did that, switched back CTRL + ALT + F1 and landed on the non-gnome CachyOS Login screen again.
I was able to use my keyboard again, typed in my password but nothing happened.
With CTRL + ALT + F2 I landed on the GNOME login screen but wasn't able to enter my password, below the login input field the message "Authentication failed" occurred and the field was constantly greyed out.
I tried to switch back to a TTY and the system hanged itself and I had to Hard RIPset it 😄
After the hard reset CTRL + ALT + F1 will lead me to the non-gnome CachyOS Login screen and logs me in to GNOME (is now CTRL + ALT + F2 session).
I don't know if this is an expected behavior.
