new captions style; folder name next to icons

Hi,
is it possible to get a new caption style, "icons + title" or " icons + folder Name", i really want to get that which will help me directly targeting my applet without the need to put my mouse pointer hover it in order to locate the desired one ( will be really helpful , i have ton of duplicated folder icons which lead to different directories); help 🙏

Yes, I think captions could be adjusted, but I don't fully understand what you mean. Which kind of icon would you like to change the caption? If it's the "Quick Browser" or "Folders" applet, it should already display the name of the folder as the title (so it is a bug if it doesn't -- I can look into if I can reproduce it). If it is the icon of a file browser, we cannot do much, the file browser app sets the title to whatever it wants.

Or do you mean that captions should always be displayed, even when the mouse is outside of the dock? (so that you know which icon to point to) That is a bigger change, but also possible.

Thanks, I see. This would be a bit different from the current style, so might need adjustments to how the labels are drawn, but should be possible. I'll have to think about it if there is a relatively easy way to do it.
