Support
A week or so, I discovered that I could not seem to edit or create posts on our site that uses EditorsKit. I get an error message “Updating failed. You are not currently logged in.” It appears that somehow trying to create or edit a post is forcibly logging me out (when I was logged in before fine and could navigate all around the admin area).
It is happening in multiple different browsers (and with other users than my own).
We are using another plugin called Members (https://wordpress.org/plugins/members/) and deactivating it caused the issue to go away. I posted on their forum (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/unable-to-create-edit-posts/) and detailed my issue but they weren’t able to replicate the issue.
After further testing, I discovered that there is some conflict between that plugin and versions 1.40.2 and higher of EditorsKit. If both are enabled, I can’t create/edit posts. If either are disabled, I can edit and create posts. I downgraded our version of EditorsKit to 1.40.1 and that has solved the issue (while leaving Members activated), but you may want to look into it to see what is causing the issue.
I’ve also alerted the Members plugin team to my findings. Our other sites that use EditorsKit (but not Members) seem to be fine.
