DSM from 2D recordings?

Hello!

I'm looking for a way to get my 2D depth recordings made using Humminbird autochart into a DSM tiff file, or some other file format I can easily work with. Does this project support decoding 2D recordings? Or does it only work with SI/DI data? Thank you.

Hi there! I am glad you found PINGMapper.

The software does not directly support AutoChart. However, the depth data used by autochart to interpolate a DSM can be saved to file via a sonar recording. PINGMapper will process the sonar recording and export the ping attributes as csv. You can then generate your own DSM with depth/lat/lon found in these csv files. I recommend looking through the PINGMapper Handbook on the website to help familiarize yourself with functionality. Thanks! -Cam
