Flood mapping Landing site improvements #480
Description
There is a need for a landing site for the flood web presence.
Flood mapping landing site should have functionality:
- Issue to add a functionality to the flood mapping landing site (https://geo.ca/flood-mapping/):
- Located on top of the page with the appropriate header (Find flood hazard maps);
- Meant to be used by the general public to answer a very simple question (Does a flood map exist for my home?)
- User would be able to search for the availability of flood maps based on address;
- Based on the existing functionality developed for PS’ Flood Risk Finder, returning YES or NO with additional information to access the flood hazard maps.
Additional considerations:
• Update with GeoLocator in mind;
• UI needs to be mocked up – leverage extensive work done by PS/StatCan, and that done by Jared.
• See capacity that contractually already exists.
