All loyalty cards scan incorrectly #2333

You don't need the Stocard app installed to import from Stocard. As Catima states in the Import/Export screen when you choose Stocard, you need to email [email protected] and ask for an export of your data. (Do note that Stocard imports are currently not always working, but if you send your Stocard export to me I can fix it up so Catima can import it, see #2325 for more details).
You should avoid manually adding a card whenever you can. Many cards have a different value stored in the barcode than is written on the card, so just typing what's written on the card may give you an incorrect barcode. Scanning a card with your camera is the recommended way to add a card. Using a screenshot of the official app may sometimes work, but some stores use different temporary barcodes in their official app to make it impossible to transfer it to another app. |

Thank you, I will try that.
I also tried adding manually by scanning my old stocard barcodes. I assume
that doesn't work either?

When I manually add a loyalty card, and then try to use it at the store,
the machines are unable to scan the barcode, giving an error.

Believe it or not I asked klarna customer service how to export data cuz I
couldn't figure out how. The customer service agent didn't even know what I
was talking about and even when I tried to explain it he couldn't
understand what I was meaning. If you have any tips on how I'm going to get
my card data easily exported from klarna, awesome. Otherwise I have to
manually enter everything.

That should work fine. It is worth noting that sometimes "part" of a
barcode is itself a valid barcode and that bad lighting conditions could
affect the scan (same as any other barcode scanning). Perhaps something
like that happened. Sadly, from a distance, there is not much else I can
say or suggest.

Thank you for all your help. Sadly I'm in Canada. I miss stocard and the
simplicity of having the widget with all my cards. I don't even use klarna
for payment. I just want a place to store all my loyalty cards! 😭
I'll try again and see if I can get it to work with your system. Should I
be choosing a particular barcode type?

Back in the Stocard days there was no export button in the app, wouldn't
surprise me if there still isn't one.
If you're an EU citizen, they're legally required to give you an export of
your data. If you're not an EU citizen you sadly don't have those rights.
If you're an EU citizen try emailing ***@***.*** (well, their
email may have changed after merging with Klarna...) with a message like "I
want an copy of my data as per my rights under article 20 of the GDPR".
They're legally required to give it to you:
https://noyb.eu/en/your-right-data-portability-article-20
If they still refuse, you can file a complaint at your local DPA ("Data
Privacy Authority"). Which authority that is depends on your country:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_data_protection_authority#List_of_national_data_protection_authorities.
That's an annoying step to take, but it's the only way to get abusive
companies like these to follow the law. But I very much understand scanning
everything again seems easier by that point 😅

Why when I scan the barcode, does it change on your app to be tall? Is that
perhaps the issue?

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.

I cannot import my cards from Stocard because the program no longer opens and just directs me to klarna. When I manually add a loyalty card, and then try to use it at the store, the machines are unable to scan the barcode, giving an error. Using that store's code within their own app is the only way I can use my loyalty cards. I would love to use your app but I can't seem to get any cards to work. Any suggestions on what I may be doing incorrectly? I chose 39 for the barcode type.
