a month and some change ago, i had to do a repair-install of windows 10 to fix (or at least try to fix) an unrelated browser issue, it didn't work. of course, the repair install had the effect of reinstalling all microsoft edge components, mainly the auto-update functionality. I have since then deleted said update modules and managed to (once again, as i have many times before) make sure microsoft edge is something i CHOOSE to update manually (technically through the downloadable setup files) rather than automatically
Additional information (optional)
I got the three ChromePatcher log files that always popup in "C\Windows\Temp" whenever it runs, noticed some patches say they dont apply or not.
ChromePatcherDllErr.log
ChromePatcherInjector.log
ChromePatcherDll.log
I know at this point that making the bug report would be probably useless since i saw that the current main repository isn't being worked on anymore (in hiatus?), but if there's an alternative method, or a fork that still works/currently works, then i'd be happy to know where it is...........or has microsoft at this point defeated all the patchers?
