ctrl-wallet (Ctrl Wallet, formerly XDEFI Wallet) permanently shut down on
2026-08-03. Every listing row that still advertises it points users at a product that
no longer works, which fails the quality-gateway criteria used in #3313 ("remove discontinued Lava
public RPC listing" — providers that no longer exist / dead products).
I deliberately did not add SPL to this row while working the Solana tokensSupport
audit: Ctrl did support Solana during its lifetime, but the wallet is gone, so the right
fix is removal / marking rather than a data fill.
Evidence
Official shutdown announcement, @Ctrl_Wallet on 2026-07-07 (quoted verbatim by
Cointelegraph, "Ctrl Wallet to shut weeks after security exploit"):
"Ctrl Wallet is shutting down. Starting 3 August 2026, sending, receiving, swapping
and dApp connections within the app will no longer be available. The one thing
you'll still be able to do is export your recovery phrase."
The same announcement states the app was removed from app stores and browser
extension marketplaces, with downloads halted immediately, and that there is no
migration token, swap, or airdrop.
Context: a 2026-06-23 security incident affecting Cardano wallets put the service into
maintenance mode; the successor product SecondFi (Emurgo) was exploited on 2026-06-24
for 16M ADA ($2.4M). Ctrl had joined the Emurgo umbrella on 2026-04-29.
Today (2026-09-07) the marketing site https://ctrl.xyz is still reachable, which is
exactly why this is easy to miss — but the product itself is disabled.

Suggested resolution
There is no status / discontinued column in references/offers/wallets.csv today, so
I did not guess at one. Two options, maintainer's call:

I can implement whichever is preferred as a follow-up PR.
