Smile G3 inverter takes small amounts of grid power, even under small loads when battery has high SOC

Hello all,
I have noticed the alpha ess g3 inverter often jumps to use some grid power when a house load comes on.
With plenty of battery SOC and Pv power, this still sometimes occur, even with minimal 1kw load, grid power comes on at least for a few minutes until the algorithm seems to settle and draw from the battery.
The grid draw sometimes continues, up and down in power use. This costs ne money and accumulates each day.
Is it possible using HA, (or other related method) to lock out all grid power imports ?
Please note I wish to stay on the grid to feed out, but in my setup, am happy to never import from grid.

Where in the world are you? What are the local regulations governing how frequently inverters reassess the need to export or import?
E.g. here in the UK my solar PV inverter, my car charge point and my AlphaESS home battery inverter can only reassess this every 30 seconds (and asynchronously)

This is to try and ensure that they are not constantly fighting each other every second and reach some sort of stability and avoids the local distribution network constantly fluctuating as a result.

The result of this is that as household load fluctuates and solar power generation fluctuates, I sometimes import a balancing load for 30 - 60 seconds if the AlphaESS most recently decided not to generate.

It's the price we pay for a relatively stable local distribution network.

I'm in Australia. I've no idea how often inverters reassess the grid. I don't know why the inverter would need to look at grid when battery SOC is so high and a small house load is applied.
I had a Deye inverter for many years and not once did I see grid being used when the battery had ample.
So I'm assuming HA is unable to prevent grid draw when house load comes along?

Ah, Australia.

Yeah it's normal here unfortunately. I get the same on my smile5 here in Adelaide, it's just a small price to pay for a stable grid
