Is NextChat dead?

NC seems to be dead in the water, as far as releases go, for going on 6 mths.

I downloaded the "NextChatAI" (a commercial version?) from Github home download link, try to login w google - coz, well, there's a big google login button, "login w google coming soon". Great.

Utterly confusing state of affairs - can anyone shed some light on WTH has happened here?
