blockchain_wallet_v2_r1_*.sqlite duplicate wallet

Ever since v 1.5 or so, there is now two wallet blockchains.

There is now a blockchain_wallet_v2_r1_*.sqlite DB that will be created

Do I need now both files or the previous blockchain blockchain_wallet_v2_*.sqlite can be erased?

My node storage space runs out of the space, and above by mentioned file uses 18GB of space.
