Hello,
I already saw that pools are in work an will come in maybe some weeks/months. It seems there a 2 pooling protocols in work
https://www.chia.net/2020/11/10/pools-in-chia.html
There is also written:
"The downside is that plots being made today won’t be able to switch pools in the future without replotting. For that we are sorry. But we promise that plots of k=32 or larger made today will work on mainnet and continue to do so well into the future."
The problem is the TBW lifetime of SSDs. Creating plots burns SSDs very fast ("One k32 writes 1.8TiB in non bitfield mode and 1.6 TiB with bitfield enabled" -> https://www.chia.net/2021/02/22/plotting-basics.html).
I have 3 questions now:
1.) Can i initial join a pool with my current generated k32 plots?
2.) Is there something in work which will make it possible to switch pools without redoing my plots?
3.) Should small farmers (30-50 plots) stop creating plots on SSDs and wait for pools because they are maybe wasting there SSDs for useless plots (with 30 plots its already 2 months for a win)?
