Hi I am new to this as well. I think you are using the Chia Gui. (PS see note at bottom) the following is my experience so far: Plot in Parallel or Add Plot to Queue? parallel recommended for more TiB / day; use the delay function under advanced - delay depends on how much time your particular set up takes for completing phase 1 which is the most time consuming so far RAM max usage? my sweet spot(s) has been 6750 or 5000 ; apparently default is around 4068; Number of threads? 4 Number of buckets? 128 (dont change this ) Disable bitfield plotting? i am just trying this but so far my phase 2 time does not look good - my recommendation don't disable Exclude final directory? I dont recall this Notes of Chia GUI - I had the GUI hang and have been running on windows CLI. I tried powershell but seems to have a problem trying to set up parrallel. Awaiting some help on this Good luck |

I believe you have to set aside some of the memory (RAM) and threads for other processes on your computer. The plotting errors out if the system is out of resources. As regards the correct number of threads for your setup - you will have to come up by trying |

the main issue with os on the temp drive is that the ssd will be worn out quickly. you os will be gone with the wore out drive. so on the safe side, dont put os on the temp drive |

Hi, I'm new to Chia and I've been watching several tutorials to learn how to plot but I've found conflicting information and it's not clear to me how to configure the options in the program. I need help. I have an i7 10700k 8/16 threads processor, 128GB ram, 2tb nvme ssd , and a 10 tb hdd, I want to do all the plots that I can in parallel. I think I read that I can do up to 7 in the last update. What is not clear to me is what to select in the following
Plot in Parallel or Add Plot to Queue?
RAM max usage?
Number of threads?
Number of buckets?
Disable bitfield plotting?
Exclude final directory?
