0 plots were eligible for farming during multiple hours

I have multiple harvesters with differents plots, one with 8 plots, one with 7.
The one with 7 plots had 16 times 1 plot eligible for farming in 3 hours ,while the one with 8 had 0 plots in 3 hours.

Is it normal ? It looks like it is almost impossible to not have a single plot eligible for multiple hours.

The harvester seems to be working as the log show that 0 plots are eligible

the plots are ok, they are tested using chia plots check

is it possible that there is a flaw or attack that prevents me from getting any valid block ? Or I'm just very unlucky with this harvester

According to my napkin math, you have about a 1:3 chance to get 0 eligible plots with 8 plots in 3 hours. So it is too early to say whether it is a problem with your setup. Give it a few more hours and if there is no change, you should check your setup.

what is your math ? Did you counted 8 in your algo ?
1-(511/512)^(3*60*60/18*8) = 0.99991595575

so this gives me 99.991% of chance to have at least 1 in 8.

But my problem may be actually elsewhere, I am using tail -f and grep to find the plots info, but it looks like it's missing some lines. doing cat on the files actually did found the entries.

I think I must add --line-buffered to my grep

Yeah, you are right, I calculated it for 1 plot instead of 8. Apologies... Anyway, it seems you figured it out yourself :)

i relaunched with ---line-buffered, and the one with 7 plots already have 3 times 1 plot eligible in 5 minutes, while the other 0 lol

Mostly I have 0/64, and only sometimes 1/64 or 2/64. Don't give up

If you are still experiencing the issues it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version of chia. Please download it from here: https://www.chia.net/downloads/

Please note that upgrading major versions of chia generally requires the config.yaml to be recreated using these steps:
1. Stop chia
2. Rename the config or move it to a different directory
3. In CLI run chia init
4. Copy any custom settings from the old config to the new (plot drive directories, pool info, trusted node info, etc) - be careful here as yaml is very picky about formatting including those leading spaces
5. Start Chia
