Opening Port 8444 is mandatory requirement ?

Hi all,

I have a problem on my asus router RT so that I cannot open port 8444 when check 8444 on https://portchecker.co/
But My Full node status show it synced and Connection status = connected

Do I have to open port 8444 to farming on chia network ?
How to make sure that our plot is working well ?

Is it OK or not ?
