the impact of the number of connected peers on farming #5983

@alexfog2302 , if you are still experiencing the issues it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version of chia. Please download it from here: https://www.chia.net/downloads/ Note - this is likely because upnp and port forwarding are disabled on your network so the only connections the client is making are outbound (you connecting to others) and not inbound (others connecting to you). Having more peers increases the chances of getting quality signage points sooner which increases your chances of farming a block but there is certainly a happy number of peers to have (I generally have around 25). Since this issue has been open for a number of years without additional comments, we will be closing this ticket but if we have closed this ticket in error do not hesitate to reach out to us again with any followup questions, comments, or if the issue persists after an update.
The best place to reach our support team is on Discord (https://discord.gg/chia) or by reopening this ticket. |

I have no more than 10 connected peers on port 8444, others have 50 peers each. Checking port 8444 in browser shows closed. Does the number of connected peers affect farming, and do I need to add some settings and open port 8444 if everything is synchronized?
