Guys,
why not use transparent compression of blockchain and wallet? Any PC can handle transparent compression nowadays. Used as standard in OpenSource.
39G Dec 27 10:30 blockchain_v1_mainnet.sqlite
7.4G Dec 27 10:31 blockchain_wallet_v1_mainnet...
compressed by xz down to 17GB
Do not tell me that old algos like b2zip cannot be used.
why not learn from BTC fiasco where syncing a node for the first time takes weeks. Why not split blockchain into smaller files, and offer them somewhere on your server. Downloading 40GB is done in no time on 500Mbps CaTV Internet....even faster on fiber.
all you need to copy files into your .chia folder, and sync last blocks.
