[JsonConverter] support?

My graph ql models include some types that need encoding during serialisation For the existing REST APIs, I use the [JsonConverter] attribute. This doesn't appear to work. Is there a way to configure the JSON converters for HotChocolate?

public class User
{
        [JsonConverter(typeof(IdConverter))]
        public int UserId { get; set; }
...
}

public class IdConverter: JsonConverter<int>
{
 ...
}
