Skulk catalyst weird dupe bug?

carrying a skulk catalyst mid animation seems to make it randomly create more catalysts in that location afterwards, replacing anything placed there

triggered by mob deaths nearby?

okay so it seems like carrying on a catalyst (might need to be mid animation?) makes the game think it's still there, and mob deaths nearby that drop xp will trigger its blooming animation, replacing any block at that pos with the catalyst
