Potential update soon?

I ran the latest version of OptiFabric on Fabric for 1.17-rc1, and the resulting error informed me that the mod could only run on version 21w18a or older. I assume this is probably because of the change from Java 8 to Java 16 in 21w19a. Is there an ETA on when a version which supports Java 16 will be released, or is there any way that I could update the mod myself? Thank you very much for your time. :)

EDIT: I re-examined the error, and the latest version OptiFabric supports is 21w08b.

• 1.17-pre4 is supported from 1.11.0
• 1.17 is supported from 1.11.1
• 1.17.1 is supported from 1.11.17
