As these annotations are mostly just clutter when using useBeanValidation - should they be removed? But when not using that configOption, perhaps it is warranted to exist.

This should be something optional. Since it is currently not, this will be removed in the upcoming MAJOR release. The reason being, x-field-extra-annotation would allow these annotations to be re-added. #486
