I gathered my notes and decided to give some feedback on the tool. It is a VERY useful tool with some caveats.
A few things I see could be improved for ease of use... some may be controversial but I will express them nonetheless.
Depending on the flavor of the OS you install, you will get mixed results using the stable branch versus the dev branch. For example, using the stable branch on Debian 12 results in some options not working (build prereqs for example) so you have to use the dev branch. One would think that on a stable system the stable branch would be THE choice but no... sometimes this gets confusing...
The need to enter the sudo password every time you make some change is extremely tedious. Perhaps a protected variable option to store the password during the session and flushing it when the script is completed would be a bonus
The order of what you need to do before something else isn't reflected in the options. For example, a full build update should be the option BEFORE the build prereqs. You know, just organizing the menus more organically.
Also maybe a 1 "click" option to update, clean and put the build prereqs as an option would be good. then again, having to try the dev branch versus the stable branch makes this a bit annoying when time is of the essence.
For certain OSes there is no option to install the Nvidia drivers. The option is there for some versions of Linux but not for others... makes it confusing. Debian install has not changed in a long time but is nowhere to be found on dev or stable branches. All in all, some consistency between OSes would go a long way.
Thanks for making this tool... i use it every time I install a new Linux distro... that's at least 3-4 times a month :)
