Noticed new look today - not totally sold on that, would appreciate a toggle to be able to select old interface tbh

A toggle to get back the old interface most likely wont be added because the underlaying logic changed quite a bit.

The best you can do at the moment, is select the Compact View (at the top left) to get a similarish Grid View of the Apps.

Nevertheless we are always happe to get more feedback on how to improve the interface :)

As much as I truly do appreciate all of the effort that has gone into the creation and maintenance of this very useful tool, I am in agreement with the OP regarding the new UI. I would consider the previous iteration(s) of the "Install" page superior and think that it was easier / more efficient to find and select items for install, upgrade, and removal. Just sharing my opinion on the matter, but still wanted to convey my appreciation regardless.

The new UI completely destroys the purpose of this tool to have an easy and fast way to install software. Now everything is hidden behind collapseable menus and it takes ages now to setup a PC with the software I need since I can't check like 30 boxes and press the install button. Now I have to search for every app manually or scroll through a huge and space wasting "endless" menu. Also the icons make no sense since every app has the same one. Why showing them if everyone is the same? I would buy this software again or donate if I could get the old and more accessable design back.

Please revert or fork, This is such a painful, ugly, disappointing, unexpected, unrequested,180--it's now form over function, style over substance--who in the heck asked for this‽‽‽ It's now an eyechore, it's no longer easy, straightforward/streamlined, so much wasted space. Brilliant script m8, dgmw, but take relaxation puffs AFTER you commit. smh, just, yikes man.

I agree the new look is no better than Windows Features UI, where everything is hidden behid collapsible nodes. This goes against UI guidlines and looses it's purpose. WIth this change I might as well go to https://winget.run/ and explore apps like that, but at least I will get a full list of all apps avaliable. This change horrible.
