EDIT: 10 minutes after i finished writing this post, i went back to the computer, opened the Windows update section and now the enroll option is finally showing up!!.
So i will change the title adding TUTORIAL for anyone else in the future.
I support several clients with Windows 10 Pro. I usually run the CTT Windows tool on every system, applying some tweaks and setting updates to security only. Then i launch the OO-Shutup tool within the CTT tool itself and go bananas disabling as many privacy raping options as i can.
After watching some videos online on how to enable the windows extended updates, I see the wizard should popup in windows settings > Updates. Example: https://prnt.sc/eV99p4nvLR6z
I noticed the red text in a few sections in settings saying that the system is managed by an organization, so i realized these are related to the changes the CTT and OO-Shutup make to the system.
I also read somewhere else that one of the requisites to have the ESU wizard available is that the system must NOT be managed by an organization. By reverting the tweaks as described below, the "managed by your organization" red lines are now gone.
So now i am testing with one of the systems to revert all the tweaks trying to get the ESU option pop in the windows update section, so far no luck.
This is what i got and did so far:
System: Windows 10 Pro Build 22H2 19045.6332 all up to date including optional features.
Signed in to a Microsoft account (not local user).
Onedrive installed.
My revert attempt so far:
I launched the CTT tool today, ( iwr -useb https://christitus.com/win | iex )
In Tweaks i clicked the "Get Installed" button. This populates the settings I have previously selected. Then clicked the undo selected tweaks and waited for powershell to finish doing all the work.
Then I launched OO-shutup, I selected Actions > "Undo all changes (factory settings)".
Restarted the computer. Clicked the check for windows updates button again, all up to date but the ESU option is still not showing up. Restarted again just in case... same thing.
