Reason for removal

If you use the Windows Utility, you will notice one feature gone, and that's MicroWin. The gist of it is a custom ISO without all the bloat.

Anyways, MicroWin has been removed from the script because of reasons I was told by @ChrisTitusTech. These are scope creep, and the increasing amount of problems that happen from creating ISOs without actually understanding the changes, especially from beginners. That was what I was told.

Scope creep because it simply contains too many features and, even with all the simplification in the 2026 Update, it still doesn't meet the bar for simplicity.

Personally disappointed with this purchase. if Real-Mullac is correct just because some don't understand what their doing shouldn't mean others have to pay for their ignorance. here's a thought Chris how about you warn people not to buy your product if their not willing to take chances but you don't because you want to sell your product so you remove parts of it instead!. I purchased with good faith your complete app not a half baked one, if you take microwin away what exactly are we paying for shut up 10 is free and I think I can mangage to install 7zip and other apps without the help of a script! with convenient links.
should have gone with the slight headache and used unattended.xml site and saved my sell a tenner. I feel I just got ripped off in broad daylight. you live and learn.

Well it shouldn't be simple, it's an ISO creation tool. There is no reason to remove it because people don't know how to use it. It's like removing cars because there are people who don't have driver license and can cause car crash...

Can someone make a video on how to use Microwin now it seem hard where when it was in the win tool it was simple. I unzipped it and havce no clue on how to launch it and I need to redo a PC.

I was using it a few days ago to test windows 10 15035 for windows rt devices, sad it got removed from winutil and glad its going to be a standalone app. Good luck i will continue to use it definitely .

I am a fan of all the products... I have to say this particular action was a bit unlike other actions that the group has taken. Something as major as rolling out a stand-alone version and decoupling it from the utility is big. I guess I would have expected home page announcements prior to and afterwards, A link in the utility to the stand alone...... maybe with a note "Not for Beginners" or such disclaimer? I will see if the stand alone meets what I have come to expect from the group, understanding this is a beta and will have growing pains. Bottom Line: This transition was poorly managed and executed. I know you all can do better than that. Keep up the great work, you are my go-to for advice and to understand ALL the nuance that is happening every day in the land of compute. Thanks!

ye i couldve kept the tab and remove the functions and told people it well soon be removed but i kinda rushed it
