Invalid edit type error

When I run the command / text and then / add I get the following error:

Invalid type edit

It will not let me write anything else, at least not log out.

After typing /npc text, it lists commands you can use. These commands do not require a "/" before them. Try just typing "add".

When done editing the text, typing "/npc text" will exit you from editing mode.
