Use of ClickHouse Cloud requires an active, working credit card. For 30 days after trial expiration or after your last successful payment, your services will continue to run. However, if we are unable to charge a valid credit card, cloud console functionality for your org will be restricted, including scaling (up to 120 GiB per replica) and starting of your services if stopped.
16+
Your use of ClickHouse Cloud requires your organization to have an active and
17+
valid billing method configured. After your 30 day trial ends or your trial
18+
credits are depleted, you have the following billing options to continue using
19+
ClickHouse Cloud:
20+
1. Add a valid credit card to your organization to Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG)
21+
2. Set up a Pay-As-You-Go subscription via a supported cloud marketplace provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
22+
3. Reach out to [sales]([email protected]) to negotiate a committed spend contract
23+
directly or through a cloud marketplace committed contract.

**If a valid credit card is not added 30 days after trial expiration or your last successful payment, your data will be deleted.**
25+
If your trial has ended and no credit card or additional credits have been added,
26+
all services will be stopped. If no action is taken within two weeks, all data
27+
will be deleted.

29+
If you choose to use the first Pay-As-You-Go option with a credit card, go to the
30+
Billing section in the ClickHouse Cloud UI and click the 'Add Credit Card' button
31+
(shown below) to complete the setup. If you have any questions please
32+

ClickHouse charges for services at the organization level. If we are ever unable
47+
to process a payment using your current billing method, you must update it to one
48+
of the three options listed above to avoid service disruption and remain compliant.
49+
See below for more details about payment compliance based on your chosen billing
50+
method.
51+
52+
## Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) billing with a credit card {#payg-billing}
53+
54+
A credit card is considered compliant if it is valid, not expired, and has a
55+
sufficient credit limit and available funds based on your invoice total.
56+
57+
If, for any reason, we are unable to charge the credit card associated with your
58+
organization, the following unpaid invoice restrictions will immediately apply:
59+
60+
- You will only be able to scale up to 120 GiB per replica
61+
- You will not be able to start your services if stopped
62+
- You will not be able to start or create new services
63+
64+
We will attempt to process payment using the organization's configured billing
65+
method for up to 30 days. If payment is not successful after 14 days, all services
66+
within the organization will be stopped. In accordance with our [terms and conditions](https://clickhouse.com/legal/agreements/terms-of-service),
67+
you have 30 days from the date the invoice becomes overdue to initiate a payment
68+
dispute. If payment is still not received by the end of this 30 day period,
69+
all data and services associated with your organization will be deleted.
70+
71+
## Cloud marketplace pay-as-you-go (PAYG) billing {#cloud-marketplace-payg}
72+
73+
Pay-As-You-Go billing can also be configured to charge an organization through
74+
one of our supported cloud marketplaces (AWS, GCP, or Azure). However, if the
75+
marketplace subscription is canceled or fails to renew automatically, billing will
76+
fall back to the credit card configured for the organization. If a valid credit
77+
card is not configured, the same unpaid invoice restrictions outlined above for
78+
Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) with a credit card billing will apply - this includes
79+
service suspension and eventual data deletion.
80+
81+
## How does our PAYG marketplace billing schedule work? {#payg-marketplace-billing-schedule}
82+
83+
If you subscribe to ClickHouse through a cloud marketplace, your Pay-As-You-Go
84+
sage will be invoiced according to the terms of your agreement with that
85+
marketplace - typically on a calendar-month billing cycle.
86+
87+
## How does our direct billing schedule work? {#direct-billing-schedule}
88+
89+
For customers using Pay-As-You-Go with a credit card, the monthly billing cycle
90+
begins on the day the first tier (Basic, Scale, or Enterprise) is selected and
91+
the service is created within the organization.
92+
93+
## How are credits consumed that are applied to an organization? {#credits-consumed}
94+
95+
Credits applied to an organization (e.g. through committed contracts or refunds)
96+
are consumed starting on the day credit was granted in billing periods based on
97+
the date the first tier (Basic, Scale, or Enterprise) is selected.
98+
99+
For all pay-as-you-go billing we will bill immediately if the amount due within
100+
a billing period is equal to $10,000 USD (more info on payment thresholds [here](https://clickhouse.com/docs/cloud/billing/payment-thresholds)).
101+
102+
## Committed contract billing {#committed-contract-billing}
103+
104+
You have the option to purchase credits for your organization through a committed
105+
contract by:
106+
1. Contacting sales to buy credits directly, with payment options including ACH
107+
or wire transfer.
108+
2. Contacting sales to buy credits through a subscription on one of our supported
109+
cloud marketplaces (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
110+
111+
<br/>
112+
113+
If an organization is **not** on a cloud marketplace committed contract and runs
114+
out of credits or the credits expire, the organization will automatically switch
115+
to Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) billing. In this case, we will attempt to process payment
116+
using the credit card configured for the organization.
117+
118+
If an organization **is** on a cloud marketplace committed contract and runs out
119+
of credits, it will also automatically switch to PAYG billing via the same
120+
marketplace for the remainder of the subscription. However, if the subscription
121+
is not renewed and expires, we will then attempt to process payment using the
122+
credit card on file for the organization.
123+
124+
In either scenario, if we are unable to charge the configured credit card, the
125+
unpaid invoice restrictions outlined above for Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) billing with
126+
a credit card will apply—this includes the suspension of services. However, for
127+
committed contract customers, we will take all necessary steps to reconcile any
128+
unpaid invoices before initiating data deletion. There will be no automatic data
129+
deletion after 30 days.
130+
131+
If you’d like to add additional credits before your existing ones expire or are
132+
depleted, please contact us at [[email protected]]([email protected]).
