“Missing Files”

Hi, noob here.
I get this message upon starting up the client:

Missing Files
The following required files are missing:
gamemd.exe
You won't be able to play without those files.

In one place or another I have all the files.
I bought the game on Steam.
Everything that I want to do with the client works just fine.
What file do I have to put where to stop this message at startup?

Yes, this thing is annoying. Something needs to be done about it.

We need to make it so that this message appears when you enter campaign, not in the main menu

And with gamemd file.. Obviously it called something else. This message is not needed

You could try reinstalling from steam or try changing the default install location and see if it will reinstall. Then drag the missing file over

I'm pretty sure this was re-worked to not have as many required files now as it was when first put in.

The incoming release does not require gamemd.exe file anymore -- but any legit game installation should have it

RequiredFiles=ra2.mix,ra2md.mix,langmd.mix,language.mix,BINKW32.DLL,MOVIES01.MIX,MOVIES02.MIX,movmd03.mix,MAPS01.MIX,MAPS02.MIX,mapsmd03.mix

For movies*.mix and MAPS*.MIX -- If you own an legit game installation from Steam, Origin, or CnCFD, then it is there. If you own an legit CD installation, it is in the CD and you need to manually copy them to the installation folder.

I deleted everything related to missions because I completed them a long time ago and I don’t need them. I only play multiplayer.

It would be desirable for the message about missing files related to missions to be displayed when the user enters the mission menu and not the main menu.

This message didn't exist before, it only started appearing recently.
