Adding tabs to the Units/Buildings selection panel

As always, I'm full of ideas.
Given that modern monitors typically have a resolution of 1080p or higher, I see potential for increasing the effectiveness of the sidebar's unit and building selection. At the highest level of technology, the sidebar could accommodate two full sets of icons.

This opens the possibility of further expanding the sidebar's functionality. For example, we could add air defense button to the bottom block, where we could place air defense units and buildings.
But even without this, simply having two sets of units/buildings at hand significantly improves convenience.

This panel could be added as an option, enabled through the settings menu.

Of course, I have absolutely no idea how to implement this, but it's like in the old Soviet joke: let the engineers(incorrect emphasis here) figure it out. (Maybe I'll tell you a joke later))

If this can be done in principle, if there is agreement on this in principle, then I have some ideas for implementation variants.

I can see hotkey's being an issue unless you broke it down to have top half be structures and defenses and bottom be infantry/tanks etc. Unless you did shift+normal key for bottom menu perhaps? just my first thoughts.
