Idea that I am leaning towards doing is a form app
They can build a form and use, useRef, useEffect, and practice event handling.
Exercise would include name input, notes textarea, (live character count). Can also include a submit and a clear button.

Maybe we can show why using strictmode is necessary to find a bug like using a normal variable instead of useref

actually i was reading a bit online and i dont think itd be a good idea to teach. everywhere online says that its considered a hack to use useref like that

better way would just be to cleanup what strictmode brings up properly. we can show it in useeffect, using a timer to simulate an api call and then cleaning up the timer. without strictmode we wont see know the issue was a cleanup problem and it would appear more mysterious why the timer was acting weird
