+Hey, it's been a while. I'm still here.
+
+It just turns out that even though I do enjoy tending to this little corner of
+the internet which I've decided is mine, writing up a PhD _really_ tires you
+out. Especially so in terms of wanting to write any text at all ever again.
+
+So I've been a bit burnt out in terms of writing, to put it mildly. Here is my
+GitHub heatmap for the past ~12 months:

+Any chance you can spot when my thesis was submitted?  ^^;;

+But I'm slowly getting back into things. This tiny update is partly to reflect
+that -- that I am still here, I haven't forgotten about my website, and I'm
+slowly but surely getting back into writing blog posts -- and partly just to get
+_something_ out there so that I get back into the rhythm. I've got a couple of
+vague project ideas already, there's a whole textbook-like series I would like
+to do (but currently `ENOTIME`), and I would really like to finish up the
+["Writing up a PhD"](/en/post/writing-up-a-phd)
+post/journal, so it is not as if I'm lacking for writing ideas.
+
+For now though, this is all I've got. Thanks for still following this site (or
+just stopping by), I hope you are doing okay, whomever you are; I'm beginning to
+get there.
