Dear PGMA community,

I hope you’re doing well.

I wanted to confirm whether the Plex agent is functioning correctly. From what I understand,the agent should correctly fetch and display movie metadata, including actor photos (instead of showing “?” placeholders) and an accurate description for each film.

Could you please confirm the news around it? Additionally, if there are any recommended settings or troubleshooting steps to ensure optimal metadata retrieval, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

The connection to IAFD is broken, so the actor photos are no longer appearing. This affects all the agents I believe.

Well, the web server works just fine for the AdultNFOImporter agent. I've been using that for several films that aren't found in GEVI or other sources.

Jason wanted to see if he could fix the IAFD issue, but it would be nice to have an alternative to IAFD as described in the feature request #326 or something else like local storage.

Do you find AdultNFOImporter agent easy to use? Do you have any step guide on how to set up?

I believe there's information in the Usage Guide on how to set it up.

The NFOImporter agent was announced in Discussion item #303 and that might be a good place to ask questions on how to set it up. Basically I started from a sample file for the XMBC NFO Importer agent and modified it to work for the NFOImporter agent.

Here is a sample nfo file (renamed as txt so I can attach it here) and a poster image for the 1980 film, Fox Classics. The file is named (Fox) - Fox Classics.mp4 and the nfo should have the same name with the extension, ".nfo" instead of ".txt", ie (Fox) - Fox Classics.nfo and the poster image remains the same, poster.jpg.

My agent is set to get images from my local web server for the actor headshots, but I believe one could use the url attribute to set an image for an actor from another source.

For example:

    <name>Kip Noll</name>
    <role>Top</role>
    <thumb>https://www.iafd.com/graphics/headshots/kipnoll_m_sd.jpg</thumb>
    <profile/>

Should get the headshot from iafd for Kip Noll. (But I haven't tried it to verify that it works.)
