Where to find special characters on a German PC keyboard?

Hi there,

I tried to configure my German PC keyboard with any of the keyboard options and files of the emulator. Whatever I choose, I miss finding characters like : + and some others. Some keys on my keyboard (like for the german umlauts) are just "dead" (no responding). For the american/english keyboard configuration I would assume to find the : character right to the L. But nothing happens when pressing the German ö key, which is location in this position.

Any idea on this?
