Your New Download Screen Doesn't Work

Custom Node Testing

• I have tried disabling custom nodes and the issue persists (see how to disable custom nodes if you need help)

Expected Behavior

I installed your latest updates this week, and you changed your download screens for the worst. The old way worked just fine. Now you try and close the download, and they just sit there.

Please put back the old download. I am using Comfy UI Desktop. Whatever your latest versions are. Last two updates ruined downloading.

Actual Behavior

Download screen goes away (which is useless to go back to the nodes before they finish. You did something and broke it. It's always worked before. I have tried two different apps.

Steps to Reproduce

Install latest Comfy Desktop

Click on a Template you have never used.

Download Screen Comes up. Click Download All - Screen Closes.

Open Side Window (a dumb place to put that) and they just stay at 0%. Never Start.

The old downloader worked perfect.

Debug Logs

I have no idea where that is.

Pressing the download all button just put it to the left and it never downloads.

+1 for this issue. The downloads are added to the download list, but they never actually download.

Same issue. The progress bars are stuck at 0%.

I can reproduce the issue. I have a Hugging Face in my environment variable. Might be related to this. I've included the logs in the following. It mentions "Download is interrupted but can be resumed", while I have not paused the download.

Created a pull request that fixes the issue. The model paths had to be normalized, and the interrupts needed handling.

I just installed the latest version. It seems to work, but you have to go look for the downloads. I still like the old version better where I could see the download progress where I clicked download. I don't see why this was changed, you can't use the model till it finishes.

Pressing download icon next to the model should trigger visible download progress bar and deactivate or hide the download icon (at least).
