how much does the copilot know when using dry :CopilotChatOpne?

I open a file with neovim. I invoke :CopilotChatOpne. Then I see that all my lines in current file is selected. Which i guess is passed to copilot. Does the copilot know other information including what directory i am in, and the name of the current file?

By default it only knows about selection (so yes the highlighted lines) and selection includes name of the current file too. You can see it when you use gc for showing context
