Agents are not visible

I tried to choose agent but they aren't visible. When I choose model it works but when I want to choose Agent it's not visible at all.

I can use agents in VS Code so not sure what could be wrong with my set up.

Within the Agents section of the docs, there's a link to the Github Copilot documentation that has information about Supported clients and IDEs stating that Vim/Neovim does not have GitHub Copilot Extensions support.

I agree with you on that. I honestly didn't know how else I could provide a valuable response aside from pointing out that documentation. I was also trying to figure out how to get agents to work and was confused by what I discovered.

I think the problem may revolve around the misuse of the term "agent" in this context, as the documentation I shared doesn't refer to the feature as agents, but instead extensions.

Edit: As a next step, I'm starting to explore CodeCompanion as it seems to have agentic workflows as well as the chat buffer offered by this plugin.

the github copilot extensions were called extension agents at some point so I just went with that naming. Its likely their api changed and so the plugin do not works with them anymore, there is this PR that also completely removes the feature: #1029 (as it was never rly that useful) and replaces it with function calling and tools

Makes sense. Browsing the extension library made me realize it wasn't really what I was looking for in the first place. I was expecting something about adding MCP servers, just like that PR you mentioned. Thanks

As agents were removed and MCP/tool call support was added this is kinda resolved too i guess
