Mainline

I confirm that

  • I have searched for an existing bug report for this issue.
  • I am using the latest available version of AMP.
  • my operating system is up-to-date.

Intended Action

Recently, I configured a daily timer trigger for Minecraft with the task to "Shut the server down, take a backup, and start it up again" with backups configured for dirty only due to traffic fluctuations and server size. The intention is for the instance to do exactly that. No other actions are configured.

Expected Behaviour

The instance should halt the server; either start a backup or not and wait for the backup to complete if one starts; then start the server regardless of backup taken or not.

Actual Behaviour

In the event that a backup is taken due to a join, or some such - the backup succeeds and the server reboots once the backup is done. However, if the backup never transpires (no joins in the last 24hrs) - the server will have been shut down but is not restarted.

Reproduction

Configure a simple timer trigger set for once per day at any time. Add a task to the trigger to "Shut the server down, take a backup, and start it up again". Ensure the backup options are configured to

  • RestartEvenIfNotRunning: false
  • Local: true
  • S3: false
  • Sticky: false
  • DirtyOnly: true

Wait for the trigger to fire.
