Unable to find the pandoc in the directory

I installed Pandoc and not able to find in the root directory. I tried by following each step.

Yes, I tried that but it not created the folder in the root directory named .Pandoc.

Honestly, I can't remember how I made it work. Installing tools is often the hardest part of this development thing. I think there are several guides on the written lesson to help people who run into issues.

Can any one helpme out of this, I have trying but am getting error when I copy the markdown file, am having error here

\vspace\*{2cm}

The corrected should be like this

\vspace*{2cm}

but when I paste the markdown file, it automatically saving like this \vspace\*{2cm}

The error am encountering, Missing number, treated as zero, typically happens when LaTeX encounters unexpected syntax or a missing dependency in the template or document formatting.

Could it be that pandoc is complaining because of this symbol *, which is in this line \vspace\*{2cm}. Can you try removing it and retrying
