Solidity Metrics not working properly on VSC (Windows 10)

I installed the extension for VS Code on Windows. I right click the /src/ folder and select the -> Solidity Metrics. It runs the "Solidity-Metrics: crunching numbers ..." and it goes on and does not generate anything. It was like that for about an hour and no report was created. It just keeps running. What could be the problem? I tried restarting VS Code and re-enabling the extension, but nothing worked so far.

Are you using windows WSL?

Open the command palette ctrl + shift + P, then type Solidity Metrics: report metrics for all open workspaces.
