Getting RESTful API responses directly

When working on a dynamic website, is it possible to set up route hooks like in Playwright page.route when fetching a website?
I am working on site which the JSON return may contain more data than what was displayed in the rendered webpage.

Hey, yes page_action arguement should be sufficient

Thanks for the reply. But the page_action argument function only executes after the page is loaded (network_idle), which is too late because the REST API call has already been done.
