Landmark placement does not work if On surface is clicked

I downloaded Slicer Nightly and updated extensions and landmark placement does not work if "On surface" is checked ( default) . It works if we unclick the On surface Button and the landmark is well position still sticking to the surface, but that button (On surface) helps us to make sure the landmark in on the vertex of the surface meshes triangles.
