were you able to find out the chip inside?

I opened mine and the chip names are scratched. Were you able to find anything about what they run on? Any reverse engineering done?

It's been a while. I moved on to other projects. Look inside the files i uploaded here. They contain the most important stuff i figured out while reversing this thing. This should be enough to get you going.

Here is a picture i took of the chip from the RC-Car board:

I also have a different RC Car, it is the same idea (Camera, App, etc.) It uses different Chips BUT: the communication protocol used to send data for motor control from the Camera Chip to the RC-Car Chip is the same. i can control the other car with the same camera module used here. The RC-Chip from that other car has 2425CYh printed on it. The Camera-Chip used in that other Car was a Beken BK7231UQN40 by the way.

Thanks. I was wondering if these run linux or anything else. I wanted to turn it into client mode instead of AP mode so I can control over large distances inside a home, by mesh on wifi routers. I couldn't find anything about this other chip you mentioned.

The 2425CYh and PAN7420S7FA Chips are relatively simple. No Linux or something like that.
But the Chip inside the Camera is much more complex. It is a SoC that can be programmed.
I did not hacked into those chips because it was not needed to achieve my goal of controlling the car with something other than the official App. But it would be a great upgrade if there is a way to use custom firmware on these chips.
If you figured it out how to do this please let me know. Thanks.

The BK7231 Chip from that other car is well known. It should be possible to flash a firmware to that chip that could be used for your usecase. I do not know if there is a ready to use firmware available already.
