Hi @niemakestuff! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the RSSHub team.

This is a known limitation: when RSSHub can't use the official YouTube Data API (for example, if you haven't set a valid YOUTUBE_KEY or you hit quota limits), it falls back to youtubei.js, which currently ignores the filterShorts parameter. That means Shorts are not included in the feed even if you set filterShorts=false code reference.

To get Shorts, make sure your RSSHub instance is configured with a working YouTube API key so it uses the Google API path, which does respect filterShorts docs. If the API key is missing or quota is exceeded, Shorts won't be included until the fallback logic is improved.

If you need this fixed, you may want to track future updates for youtubei.js support for Shorts filtering.

The bot's response did NOT work. However, after I put YOUTUBE_KEY, I switched from /youtube/user to /youtube/c (Custom URL) which includes all type of videos.

filterShorts only works when it's properly passed into RSSHub. #20401

@TonyRL Can you show a working example? I still can't make it work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Nvm I found the problem now. It seems that you have to include @ in the username. Without it, the params don't work for some reason.
