GUI: What does PASS 5000 ms mean?

Dashboard GUI, Recent queries section: What does Response: PASS, Time (ms): 5000 ms mean?

I thought that PASS means a successfull query, however 5000 ms should be a timeout. This also happens when there is no internet connection, so the query could only have failed, right?

If a response cannot be obtained from a server, but there's a cached response that's not too old, it's returned. I guess this is what happened here.

Here usually a query is send multiple times at the same time to DNSCrypt-Proxy, which means that a server that always times out can return a cached response (from another working server) almost all the time, i.e. showing 99% success rate while actually always failing. Is this OK?
