monitoring_ui, cache, Entries / Capacity -> "Entries" value only grows. stale entries don't get subtracted.

In the monitoring ui under the cache section, the Entries / Capacity part displays "Entries" wrong. At least it doesn't make sense to me.
The Value will display how many records have been cached, but it will not go down if records have become stale. I guess there is no checking for that.
So in the end this value will just slowly grow until it reaches the max value defined by "Capacity" and will remain there. Essentially leaving it useless.

I guess ?, it would need some kind of periodic cache scanning which keeps updates the value to active records only or a different cache library which can handle this stuff.

I'm no expert on this stuff, so any insight are welcome
