isisimport error with EIS WAC pushbroom

Description
We are unable to create a WAC .cub from the PDS sample using isisimport.

How to reproduce
isisimport from= Updated_EIS_Sample_PDS_Bundle/eis_bundle_20241031/data_wac_raw/2032/116/EIS000XXX_2032116T234928_0000C35F-WAC-PUSHB-IMG_RAW_V1.XML to=EIS000XXX_2032116T234928_0000C35F-WAC-PUSHB-IMG_RAW_V1.cub template= $ISISROOT/appdata/import/PDS4/ClipperEIS.tpl

isisimport: Importing

Results in the error message:

I/O ERROR Cannot read file [/data/EIS/Data/Updated_EIS_Sample_PDS_Bundle/eis_bundle_20241031/data_wac_raw/2032/116/EIS000XXX_2032116T234928_0000C35F-WAC-PUSHB-IMG_RAW_V1.XML]. Position [8192]. Byte count [8192].

Additional context
The cube file is needed to provide a label template (I think) to run the Jupyter notebook (https://github.com/DOI-USGS/knoten/blob/main/archive/EIS_spice.ipynb).

Hi @artmathgirl, is the assocaited EIS000XXX_2032116T234928_0000C35F-WAC-PUSHB-IMG_RAW_V1.IMG image file siting along side the XML?

When I moved the .IMG away from the directory containing the .XML I get the error you are seeing

Yes the .IMG is in the same directory alongside the .XML file.

I didn't realize it before, but a .cub file was created despite the error message. However, all the pixels are NULL.

@artmathgirl I figured out the issue. It's a linux vs. Mac file system problem. If you change EIS000XXX_2032116T234928_0000C35F-WAC-PUSHB-IMG_RAW_V1.IMG to EIS000XXX_2032116T234928_0000C35F-WAC-PUSHB-IMG_RAW_V1.img you can import the file.

We will need to update isisimport to look for .img and .IMG files. Right now we only look for .img files but Mac is case insensative when accessing files

Changing the .IMG extension to .img worked. Thanks!
