Unable to select Researcher Profile (Person) created in profile menu as a Person author

Describe the bug

When creating a Researcher Profile through the profile menu, it cannot be selected as an author for a Publication Entity item. This occurs in DSpace 9.1 using Brave.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Log in with a user who has a Researcher Profile.
2. Access the profile menu.
3. Create a Researcher Profile.
4. Add a new Publication Entity item.
5. Try to select the recently created Researcher Profile as an author.
6. It appears in the list but is not added to the author field.
7. Log in with another user and attempt to add a Publication Entity item.
8. The previously created Researcher Profile cannot be selected at all.
9. Create a Person item and add it as an author to verify that functionality works.

Expected behavior

A newly created Researcher Profile should be selectable and successfully added as an author for Publication Entity items, for both the creator and other users.

Steps observed:

• A Researcher Profile created by one user cannot be selected as an author for a Publication Entity item, even though it appears in the selection list.
• Other users cannot select that Researcher Profile as an author at all.
• Adding a Person item works correctly and can be selected as an author.

@jesielviana : Have you tried this on our Sandbox/Demo site to verify if it occurs there as well?

This is definitely surprising. My only guess would be that some sort of error is occurring, but I haven't had time to try to test it out myself yet.

I tested it on demo.dspace.org, and the bug occurs there.
